Ha, sorry for the leading title to this blog, but I could not resist. This Halloween we convinced our non-American friends (and some American ones) to join the ages-old holiday tradition of getting dressed up in scary costumes, eating lots of chocolate, and drinking lots of booze. I must say it was a very successful venture and fun was had by all.

Eight of us decided to go as a dead bridal party. We looked decidedly disturbing. The party kicked off at our place, with eyeball martinis and the Monster Mash, and we finalized our costumes - read: poured blood on each other. Our poor bride Jane had to stand on a towell all night as we drenched her in it. The effect was brilliant.

Around 10:30, along with a jolly monk, a couple of Dia de los Muertos revelers and Lance Armstrong, we marched over to the Amsterdam Dungeon for a haunted house. Then the party continued until 4am at Boom Chicago. The best was the looks we were getting from the Dutchies as we walked along the street. I can't blame them though - we looked really scary.

That's like Kill Bill!! Nice work, guys. I waited until the last minute and only managed to drum up two others to join me for Halloween. Then it took too long to get together and ready, so we didn't have much time out at the bar party. But it was fun! I miss U.S. Halloween, though!
SICK makeup Reese!
Halloween here in Fells was ridiculous as usual, and I can't wait til next year - unless it falls on the same weekend as NYC Marathon again!
